Craft Fair at the Village Inn, Arrochar: 29th June 2014

On Sunday 29th June I will be selling prints and postcards at a Craft Fair at the Village Inn, Arrochar, on the west side of Loch Lomond in Scotland. The full address is Shore Road, Arrochar, Dunbartonshire G83 7AX

The Village Inn is a fantastic wee pub, with a great selection of beers and ales, delicious food (including home baking by Ann if you’re lucky) and gorgeous rooms if you’re looking for a weekend out of the city. Plus the views (it’s right on the shores of Loch Long with views of The Cobbler) aren’t bad either!

Loved by walkers (for a welcome pint at the end of a climb), families out for a country pub lunch and locals alike, the welcome from Ann and Tony who run it is warm and welcoming. There’s a lovely open fire in the bar if the weather’s dreich, although I’m hoping that the sun will be out and the garden out front will be busy with people sunning themselves…

I’ll have a selection of framed prints at full size, small mounted prints ready to pop in a frame from Ikea, and postcards for sale. Quite a few of the paintings are of local views around Arrochar, Cove and Loch Long. I think there will also be stalls selling other local crafts, so do pop along if you feel like a run out to the country at the weekend, and a nice pub lunch.

If you’re coming from Glasgow you head out to Loch Lomond on the A82. At Tarbet don’t turn right on the A82, go straight on, onto the A83. As you head into the village of Arrochar, turn left onto the A814 (if you get to the head of the loch you’ve gone too far – pop into the car park to turn round). The Village Inn is on your left, past the Arrochar Hotel and the Three Villages Community Hall. Hope to see you there!
